These forums opened in 2007 after Club Penguin became very successful after being added to Miniclip.com, a British based gaming website, as part of a business deal with NHI. Club Penguin's succes is thought to be largely in part to this deal. The forums turned out to be a lot more popular than originally planned and reached a million posts in mid-2009
